Believe it or not, you can’t spend the entire duration of your Las Vegas bachelor party drinking, dining, and looking at showgirls, as much fun as that might be. There are daylight hours to fill, and if you and your group aren’t spending them slumped over with hangovers or in a deep slumber of recuperation, shake up your bachelor party with a wild group activity – indoor skydiving. That’s right – before you get married, you can take a different kind of plunge into a giant wind tunnel at Vegas Indoor Skydiving on Convention Center Drive.

A great activity for a group of friends, indoor skydiving offers all the thrills of the real thing without the fear of falling to your death. The simulation is created using a DC-3 propeller at the base of a 22-foot-high and 12-foot-wide padded tunnel. The propeller generates winds up to 120 mph, lifting divers into the air and recreating the feeling of flying through the sky.

In order to tunnel-dive, a little preparation is required; all participants must attend a brief class on indoor skydiving and watch a short video on flight technique, hand signals, and proper body positioning. Divers are then dressed in a specialized flight suit with earplugs, goggles, and a helmet. Then it’s all blue skies – or blue wind tunnel – from there; the instructor guides participants into the tunnel and continues to provide hands-on assistance. Participants will float, they’ll fall, and they’ll maybe even squeeze in a few somersaults and tricks in this fun and exciting activity that you and your friends will be talking about for months.

Though skydiving certainly isn’t the most inexpensive thing to do in Las Vegas, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience you’ll always remember. What else could be better for the ultimate bachelor party? Also, Vegas Indoor Skydiving offers discount packages for group fliers. Note to you party animals, though: make sure you’re sober, or you won’t be allowed to fly. It’s no loss, though, because even Vegas’ strongest cocktail can’t compete with the adrenaline rush of indoor skydiving.
